The Power of Prayer and Divine Intervention
I believe that if you work hard and smart, it yields results. However, I do not believe it would be enough to take me from my childhood of poverty, destitution, abuse and hunger to the relatively comfortable life that I have today. So what helped to change this situation? I prayed hard as a child when I was driven by desperation, and I still pray today, because I believe in the power of prayer, divine intervention and also the fact that God helps those who help themselves. I believe that we should rejoice in life’s disappointments, because if you look close enough you will see the marvelous opportunities that exist in those situations.
